Terms of Use – AgPHY

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the AgPHY platform, the user agrees to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any clause, we recommend not using the platform's services.

2. Services offered

The AgPHY platform provides free online tools for agricultural geospatial data processing, organized into five categories: Convert (conversion between formats such as SHP, KML, GeoJSON, CSV, TXT, GeoPackage, GeoTIFF, and GeoPDF), Structure (shapefile structure editing), Edit (numeric value transformation), Analysis (statistics and visualization), and Report (PDF generation).

Services are provided "as is," with no warranty, express or implied, of fitness for a particular purpose.

3. User responsibilities

The user agrees to:

  • Provide valid files that comply with the formats specified by each tool.
  • Not infringe on third-party rights, including copyright and intellectual property rights related to uploaded files.
  • Use the services ethically, professionally, and in compliance with applicable Brazilian law.
  • Not attempt to bypass upload size limits, reverse engineer, access restricted areas, or compromise the platform's integrity.

4. Limitation of liability

The AgPHY platform is not responsible for:

  • Corrupted files submitted by the user or incorrect results caused by malformed files.
  • Data loss during processing, connection failures, or temporary service unavailability.
  • Agronomic, financial, or operational decisions made based on results generated by the tools. Results should always be critically reviewed by the responsible professional.
  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the tools.

All uploaded files are processed temporarily in memory and deleted immediately after processing, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All content, design, features, source code, and tools available on the AgPHY platform are the exclusive property of the AgPHY project. Copying, redistributing, reproducing, modifying, or using any platform material for commercial purposes without prior written authorization is prohibited.

Personal and professional use of the tools to process the user's own files is free and encouraged — that's the platform's purpose.

6. Changes to these terms

AgPHY reserves the right to change these Terms of Use at any time, with the date of the last update shown at the top of this page. Users are encouraged to periodically review this page to stay informed about the current terms of use.

7. Usage restrictions

The platform may restrict access or implement technical blocks (for example, by IP address) if it identifies:

  • Misuse of the tools (bulk automated uploads, abusive scripts, DoS attempts).
  • Violation of these terms or applicable Brazilian law.
  • Any action that compromises the platform's integrity or harms other users' experience.

8. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by Brazilian law, in particular the Consumer Protection Code (Law No. 8,078/1990), the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018), and the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014).

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the maintainer's domicile, except where otherwise required by law.
